Movie Review: Trolls

I got this feeling in side my bones....

If you haven't heard the hit song by Justin Timberlake, Can't stop the feeling, then now is the time to put your volume louder on your computer, click play, and dance.

This song is from the new animated movie Trolls, which is now showing at cinemas countrywide.

Enter a colourful, wondrous world populated by hilariously unforgettable characters and discover the story of the overly-optimistic Trolls, with a constant song on their lips, and contrast that with the comically pessimistic tribe of Bergens, who are only happy when they have trolls in their stomach.

The story of a village of Smurf-like creatures (happy, dancing, and singing but not blue though) called Trolls are faced with an enemy of a village of bigger miserable creatures called Bergens. The Bergens every year on a day called Trollstice, eat a Troll to gain all the happiness that engulfs their own body and internally makes them happy.

The movie starts when the baby Prince of the Bergens' Gristle Jnr. (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) was to get his first taste of a Troll, but the King of the Trolls' Peppy (Jeffrey Tambor) manages to escape with all the other Trolls before they are to be eaten. The furious Bergen King Gristle Sr. (John Cleese) banishes the Chef (Christine Baranski) who was in charge of the Troll preparation.

20 years later the same Bergen Chef finds the Trolls and captures most of them to take them back to the King (now Gristle Jnr.) before Trollstice, and this is when the story and adventures begin. Princess Poppy voiced by Anna Kendrick (a happy go-lucky Troll that is always looking at the bright side of life) together with Branch voiced by Justin Timberlake (a pessimistic Troll who hates to sing, dance, or have any fun on the off chance that the Bergens might find him) set off to get their friends back.

Lots of great stars voicing the characters like Zooey Deschanel, Russell Brand, James Corden, Gwen Stefani, and The Big Bang Theory's Kunal Nayyar.

As Branch says, "Happiness is inside all of us, sometimes you just need someone to help you find it."
