That's Rocking Good Food, Mama!
The perfect birthday celebration is made up of three components: Great company, fine food, and a delicious cake. This is exactly what we received at RocoMamas Melrose Arch.
From the manager Prince to our waiter Chris, the service was exceptional at RocoMamas Melrose Arch. Each staff was there to assist if we needed anything, but did not intrude in our quality family time, adding to the great company component.
To start off, we ordered the Tropical Blue Lemonade and the Oreo G-Shake for drinks. It was a nice combo for the table as the double thick gourmet shake with crushed Oreo pieces created a bit of a starter, and complemented the meal that we had ordered. The Tropical Blue Lemonade had a refreshing taste and served almost as a palate cleanser to help us enjoy each flavour of the different dishes.
The side dishes and mains included the Classico Los Nachos and the medium Chilli Cheese Turbo Charged Fries, together with the 500g Beef Ribs (with Flavour X sauce), a Classic Cheese Smash Burger (perfect for the little one), and the Melrose Arch store exclusive: a RocoTikka Smash Burger.
The ribs were saucy, juicy, and tender, with mostly meat, and hardly any fat - just the way we like it. The store secret sauce: Flavour X, was almost a mixture of a slight Peri-Peri and BBQ, which we enjoyed and would definitely recommend.
Both burgers were well done with the RocoTikka Burger being a firm favourite with its unique chicken tandoori taste, a cool mint sauce, and the coolest red bun. The Classic Cheese is exactly that: a classic beef cheese burger with aged cheddar, sweet pickle, tomato, red onion, and RocoMayo.

The Chilli Cheese Turbo Charged Fries, although a bit spicy for some of us, had us going back for more. The Classico Los Nachos had an exceptional flavour, and paired with the sour cream, guacamole, and the diced tomatoes, could be enjoyed as a perfect snack.

All around, the food was extremely flavourful and delicious that it had us eating even when our tummies felt full!
We thought that it couldn't get any better and 2 out of 3 the components were satisfied for the perfect birthday, but RocoMamas Melrose Arch (courtesy of Prince), managed to top the meal with a Birthday Cheesecake... in a glass.

Not many people are aware that RocoMamas does desserts, probably because there is no room left to eat anything after the filling meals that they serve. Well, even if you just go to RocoMamas to have dessert and not a full meal, the Cheesecake in a glass is a must. It's like the South African favourite - Peppermint Tart mashed with a delicious cheesecake, layered carefully in a glass. Chocolate pieces, Tennis Biscuits with the smooth creamy cheesecake, and "Happy Birthday Ziyaad" written in chocoate around the board, was the perfect birthday treat to end the awesome time that we had at RocoMamas Melrose Arch.
The entire meal was well prepared, and each dish was well presented.
