Arriving in the country earlier this week ahead of his Johannesburg and Cape Town concerts, we enjoyed a high tea with James where he had this to say:

The down-to-earth, fun and energetic Morrison played to a full house at the Teatro in Montecasino earlier this evening as the first concert in his 3 concert line-up (22nd, 23rd, 24th January) at the venue in Johannesburg.

Singing some of his greatest hits like "Wonderful World", "Broken Strings", and "You Give Me Something", (but sadly missing out "Please Don't Stop The Rain"), the crowd couldn't help but get out of their seats to sing-a-long and dance to his beautiful sounds.

James together with his talented back-up singers and band, gave his fans a taste of some of his new songs from his upcoming album titled "You're Stronger Than You Know" which releases worldwide on the 8th March 2019. Songs included the album title, "You're Stronger Than You Know" and "My Love Goes On" which is sung with Joss Stone on the track.

Morrison's soulful sound resonated through the hallways of the theatre well after the show had ended and will probably carry on for the next few days.

The trio who made up the opening act for James Morrison go by the name of The Stone Jets. The Stone Jets - with lead singer Given, guitarist Manfred and drummer Eduan - gave an excellent performance and a great start to the show. They are definitely worth a listen to as well as an attendance to their next gigs.

There are still tickets available for tomorrow night and Thursday night at Montecasino in Johannesburg and for his performance at Kirstenbosch Gardens in Cape Town on Saturday 26th January 2019.
