Year In Review 2019: Range Rover Velar
This was one of our top picks for 2019 and we will tell you why.
The 3.0l V6 221kW Twin Turbocharged Diesel engine which produces 700Nm of torque comes standard with electronic air suspension. There are 3 height adjustment options on the suspension and 6 terrain adjustment options.
Standard features on the Velar like the full panoramic sunroof, heads up display, two 10 inch touchscreens, the rotary gear selector flush door handles, and the fact that there are hardly any physical buttons (most standard buttons on the console have been replaced with electronic touch buttons) takes this vehicle into a league of its own.
Even in the dynamic sports mode, most of the time we still manage to average 8.7l/100km with the V6 engine on the 66 litre tank.
Performance wise we managed 0-100 km/h in just under 7 seconds which for a relatively bulky vehicle is very impressive.
The Land Rover multiple terrain and towing capabilities, combined with the Range Rover luxury and performance is all packed into this superb SUV.
There's so much more to say about this phenomenal machine, and that's why all our in depth reviews are available on our website.
The Range Rover Velar starting price is R 1 018 650 for the entry level D180 and the 8 speed automatic AWD D300 R-Dynamic SE in Fuji White which we tested is priced at R 1 387 596 (including extras) 📷 @ziyaad_86
