5 tips from LG for creating shareable content in 2019

Calling all influencers and those who want to up their social media game!
It’s a cluttered world out there and you need to find ways to stand out. That means creating high-quality, shareable content. LG has put together some tips to help you take your social media creations to the next level.
- Invest in the right tools.
Smartphone technology has come a long way. The latest premium phones offer camera features designed to help you create and share high-quality content, like multiple cameras (rear and front-facing). These give you access to photography options previously only found in DSLR cameras and studios, like wide-angle and zoom lenses, and a range of lighting options, so you can mix and match lenses and effects to perfectly suit your subject. If you want to prioritise content creation, it’s worth investing in a phone that’s tailored to your needs.
- Give yourself options.
We all tend to get stuck in our ways, taking similar shots over and over again. 2019 is the year to try new things! Take your standard shot, but then take at least two additional different photos of the same subject. Change the angle you’re photographing from, the lighting or the composition. One bonus of doing this is that you’ll have more options to choose from. But you’ll also shake yourself out of your rut.
- Be tag savvy.
Every content creator should know the value of good hash-tagging! But it’s much easier when you’ve got help. With Google Lens, you can get immediate information about the things you’re snapping, from artworks to landmarks. Super helpful for accurate tags!
- Work your filters smartly.
We love a good filter as much as anyone, but poor filter choices can wreck a pic. The main rule here is less is more. Opt for filters that allow you to tweak settings. Most filters look better when not applied at max strength. Some premium phones even have smart systems built into their camera applications, which can recognise different subjects and recommend filter options.
- Use movement for effect.
Select and animate the parts of your photo that have movement to bring still images to life. Like filters, less is more. Highlight one movement that will evoke the senses – a flag waving in the wind, an incense stick smoking or a hand strumming a guitar.
