Showmax joins DStv Stream from 1 April 2026

Showmax announced the start of their new chapter today

In an email to their current subscribers which summarises the move and key dates, Showmax will be ending the standalone service from 31 March and all the Showmax Original shows will move to DStv Stream on 1 April 2026.

Big News!

Showmax is starting a new chapter, and your favourite shows are getting a shiny new home on DStv Stream. Even better, they’ll be joining a bigger world of entertainment, all in one place.

Over the next few months, we’ll be saying goodbye to the standalone Showmax service as we bring the best of Showmax Originals and more onto DStv Stream.

Important dates to jot down 🗓️

31 March 2026: Last day to renew your Showmax subscription or redeem vouchers.

1 April 2026: New subscriptions and renewals will no longer be available.

Already subscribed?

No stress, you can keep watching as usual until your subscription ends, or until the end of April 2026, whichever comes first. 🤷
