Mayoral welcome to the #SummerReady KZN South Coast!

With its beaches open for bathing (including the highest number of Blue Flag Beaches in the province!) holidaymakers are heading to the KZN South Coast for some well-deserved relaxation and fun.
Visitors were officially welcomed during the Mayoral Roadblock on Friday, 16 December.
This is an annual tradition whereby the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality (RNM) officials, supported by South Coast Tourism & Investment Enterprise, meets and greets incoming visitors with a welcome pack that includes useful safety tips and a copy of the Southern Explorer Magazine – a guide to all local events, sites and venues.
This year, Deputy Mayor Sibusiso Shange and Council Speaker Zodwa Mzindle were happy to welcome the many tourists ahead of the festive season, with the message that the KZN South Coast is #SummerReady!
Visitors will get the chance to enjoy the free and fun beach and hinterland activities through the I Love Summer holiday programme, as well as the many markets and events taking place over this time.
The region is also home to world-class dive sites, extreme adventures, hinterland excursions, coastal forest nature trails, and 11 quality golf courses. Holidaymakers are encouraged to share their holiday pics from selfie frames at Margate and along Umzumbe River Trail using #SouthCoastTourism and #SummerReady!
