The 2025 Ballito Pro Festival: 56th Edition

The 2025 Ballito Pro Festival Presented by O’Neill : 56th Edition
The 56th edition of the Ballito Pro Presented by O’Neill is in full swing, transforming KwaDukuza into the ultimate winter escape from 22 June to 6 July. This year’s Sea‑Sound‑Waves theme brings surf, music, and sustainability together in a vibrant seaside celebration.
While top international surfers continue to battle it out in the WSL (World Surf League) Challenger Series, the festival has served up a rich programme of beach activities, retail pop‑ups, Red Bull activations, and cultural experiences.
On Saturday, 28 June, the O’Neill Ballito Bowl Skate Jam excited the crowds - Redbull's Olympic skater Brandon Valjalo (JHB) wowed the audience, and local prodigy Thalente Biyela, now residing in Cape Town, took first place in a thrilling Open division showdown.
This week, the Ballito Pro Music Concerts light up Salt Rock Main Beach with three unforgettable evenings of South African talent:
Wednesday, 2 July | 5.30pm – 9.30pm
The Ballito Pro Infinite Playlist—an audio-visual homage to local surf and music culture, featuring performers from Squeal, Perez, Arapaho, Just Jinger, Ella Mental, Tree63, The Kickstands, The Black Lapels, Springbok Nude Girls, plus world champion longboarder Steven Sawyer and surf-musicians Ryan Logie, Kevin Colby, and Warren Dixon.
