The 2026 Seven7 Drive for kids with cancer will once again be spearheaded by Botha, who is joined this year by the host of the annual television special, Ahsheem Singh, and camera-guru, Dylan Shaw – the man who randomly brought Singh along on the 2024 Seven7 Drive and in the process facilitated a life-changing moment. Joining Botha, Shaw and Singh this year is Calvin Fisher, a veteran motoring journalist and himself no stranger to the ravages of cancer. Together, the crew will be telling the Seven7 Drive story with empathy, compassion and a dash of humour, alongside guests from Jameel Motors South Africa, JAC Motors South Africa and JMC South Africa.
Departing from the Steve Biko Academic Hospital in the City of Tshwane on 24 September 2026, the Drive then heads north to Polokwane for its second hospital visit of the day. Heritage Day will be appropriately celebrated at Indaka Lodge outside Thabazimbi, one of the Drive’s long-time accommodation partners, before heading of first to Kimberley, then Cape Town and then Gqeberha. From here, the team heads to Bloemfontein and on to Swartberg in Kwa-Zulu Natal – via the beautiful Eastern Cape hamlet of Rhodes and the spectacular Naude’s Nek Pass. On the last day, the Drive visits Greys Hospital in Pietermaritzburg before heading back to Johannesburg for the final hospital visit at Charlotte Maxeke.
