Producer John Van Grinsven and the Artistic Director of The South African State Theatre, Aubrey Sekhabi, are thrilled to announce the premiere Pretoria season of The Greatest Love of All: The Whitney Houston Show starring Belinda Davids.

This astounding tribute show is taking the world by storm, and is a fun and heart-felt concert dedicated to the incomparable Whitney Houston. The Greatest Love Of All: The Whitney Houston Show celebrates the magnificent catalogue of hits that Houston made famous during her 30 year career, including ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’, ‘Where Do Broken Hearts Go’, ‘I’m Every Woman’, ‘I Will Always Love You’ and many more.

Starring the breathtaking voice of Belinda Davids live in concert and direct from sell out shows across Europe, together with a full band, dancers and theatrical effects, this show is not just a brilliant tribute but a spectacular concert experience in its own right and should not be missed!

After debuting with a sold-out 6 week run in Johannesburg in 2014 and a highly successful second season in 2015, The Greatest Love of All – The Whitney Houston Show has been seen across the globe and now – for the first time - will be travelling to Pretoria, for a limited season in the Opera Theatre of the State Theatre from 26th January until 14th February (Valentine’s Day) 2017.

In an interview with B Sharp Entertainment during her 2015 run in Johannesburg, Davids was quoted as saying:
“I want people to remember Whitney for when she was amazing, for when she was the power house, for when she was the voice, for when she was this amazing artist. She worked very hard. Her mother instilled a great work ethic in her. But I want people to remember Whitney when she was at the top of her game.”

The show is produced by Van Grinsven’s Showtime Management Australia and is presented in Pretoria by The South African State Theatre and Bernard Jay, in association with MNet. Showtime Management Australia also produces the current hit stage shows The Michael Jackson HIStory Show, Queen: It’s a Kinda Magic and The ABBA Show.

Tickets in Pretoria range from R150 to R325 and can be booked through Computicket.
