A Taste Explosion at News Cafe Centurion
Situated in a centre at the second most busiest intersection in Tshwane, News Cafe Centurion had a major setback when a sinkhole in the area forced them to close for 14 months. Now, at the end of November 2018, they have officially opened their newly revamped store with a trendy look and feel.
Speaking to the owner of the Centurion branch located in @Ease Centre, Gary mentions that he has been in the News Cafe group for around 20 years and his involvement in the community aids in making News Cafe Centurion a popular spot for all types of customers.
This diverse clientele calls for a variety of different types of dishes as well as drinks to which News Cafe's menu caters for, and still ensures the quality of each meal.
Amongst our choices, we could savour the freshness of the organic vegetables and fruits even in a drink as simple as a Strawberry Milkshake! My particular choice of drink; the Kiwi, Apple, Mint and Cucumber Freezo had an invigorating and refreshingly cool taste.
The Fritter Breakfast Bowl, which was the meal that I had enjoyed, included a burst of colour that was definitely aesthetically pleasing to the eye. This meal included a poached egg, sautéed mushrooms, bright red roasted cherry tomatoes, the greenest spinach leaves that I have ever seen and of course, fritters that were just the right amount of sweet.
One of the other meals on our table was the Just Baked that contained 2 eggs baked in a pan with halloumi, avocado, cherry tomatoes and to give it that amazing 'taste explosion' kick, hummus.
Each dish that we enjoyed contained crisp ingredients, was incredibly flavourful and still managed to be innovative by keeping up with the latest foodie trends.
Besides the foodie trends, News Cafe Centurion displays incredible art work and murals and we learnt that it is one of the spots where the annual Centurion Amazing Race Team Building love to gather.
An urban sophisticated place that includes an exceptional quality of food as well as captivating decor, News Cafe Centurion certainly encompasses the vibe.
